In my work, I’ve come to believe that truly transformative partnerships—especially in global health and science—require more than just technical expertise. They ask us to show up with our whole selves: intellect, yes, but also imagination, intuition, and heart. This short piece reflects on how we might begin to shift away from rigid, colonial systems of knowledge toward more equitable, human-centered ways of working together. It’s a reflection drawn from both experience and hope—for a future where healing, collaboration, and curiosity go hand in hand.
This is a chapter I wrote for an open access collaborative, heart forward book, Transforming Global Health Partnerships.
